Dream Girl 2: Not Tejasswi Prakash but this young star to star alongside Ayushmann Khurrana?

Dream Girl is overall Ayushmann Khurrana's biggest hit at the box office so far, and has also garnered decent reviews across the board.  Hence, it makes perfect business sense for the makers to flag off a sequel.

Dream Girl remains Ayushmann Khurrana's biggest hit at the box office.  Whether Ayushmann Khurrana fans agree or disagree about his best film, among the many gems he has made in a short span of time, the hardcore numbers cannot be denied, and by that parameter, Dream Girl is his best film till date.  The biggest hit of  On top of that, the Raaj Shaandilyaa directorial also got pretty decent reviews across the board.  So, it makes perfect commercial sense for the makers to flag off a sequel, and that's what is finally happening, and it looks like Sara Ali Khan and not Tejasswi Prakash as the female lead for Dream Girl 2.

Sara Ali Khan on Tejashwi Prakash and Nushrat Bharucha

Now, as encouraging as the news is, it will come as some disappointment that Sara Ali Khan may replace Nushrat Bharucha in Dream Girl 2, with the talks apparently reaching an advanced stage already.  The development will be even more so for fans of Tejasswi Prakash, who will be looking forward to the winner of Bigg Boss 15 making his Bollywood debut opposite Ayushmann Khurrana, and that too in the sequel to a superhit film like Dream Girl.

Dream Girl 2 makers in advanced talks with Sara Ali Khan

The talk around is that Sara Ali Khan is yet to approve the makers of Dream Girl Part 2 but the talks are said to have reached an advanced stage so she is expected to sign on the dotted line soon. The film is expected to go on floors by the end of this year.  If Sara comes on board, it will mark her first collaboration with Ayushmann Khurrana.  Apparently, the two were supposed to come together for one more film before Dream Girl 2, but then the talks slowed down, so hopefully everything will go smoothly this time.
