From November 15 to 18, IIT Madras and the US Consulate will offer a virtual workshop.
The Indian Institute of Technology Madras (IIT-M), in collaboration with the US Consulate General in Chennai, will organise a digital seminar to help South Indian educational establishments improve their willingness to host American students.
The virtual seminar, named "Destination South India," will take place from November 15 to 18 in collaboration with the United States-India Educational Foundation (USIEF) and the Forum on Education Abroad, according to an IIT-M press statement.

"The main goal of convening this digital seminar is to assist academic institutions in South India in understanding the requirements of US students, US universities, and Indian institutions, as well as to build effective study abroad programmes," the statement stated.
Credit transfers, security and psychosocial functioning, the responsibility of Indian students, equal opportunities, research, ethical practises, and preparedness for post-pandemic programmes are among the topics covered at the event, according to the statement.
