Stock exchange closed with a loss - Dr. Reddy's, Tata Motors, M&M shares fell...

Domestic stock markets closed with a fall on Wednesday after a lot of volatility. BSE stocks closed at 52,443.71 with a loss of 135.05 points or 0.26% percent. Similarly, NSE Nifty closed at 15,709.40, down 37.05 points or 0.24%. Dr. Reddy's Labs, Kotak Mahindra Bank, Tata Motors, Cipla, and M&M were the biggest losers on Nifty. On the other hand, shares of Bharti Airtel, Tata Steel, SBI Life Insurance, Divis Labs, and IndusInd Bank closed with gains.

Talking about the sectoral index, there was a jump of one percent in the metal index. IT indices also closed with a gain of 0.2 percent. However, selling was seen in auto, bank, energy, and pharma industry stocks.

On the stock exchange, the shares of Kotak Mahindra Bank saw the biggest break of 2.64 percent. Apart from this, Dr. Reddy's, M&M, Powergrid, NTPC, Nestle India, HDFC Bank, Axis Bank, Maruti, SBI, HCL Tech, Reliance Industries, Asian Paints, L&T, Titan, Sun Pharma, HDFC, and Bajaj Auto closed in the red.
